In the morning of July 20th, 2014, the students of 2014 HUTECH’s Green Summer Campaign started to build charity houses, bridges and countryside roads in Dai Dien, Quoi Dien and Hoa Loi commune, Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province. Previously, in the afternoon of July 19th, 2014, Mr. Dang Quoc Toan and Mr. Tran Quoc Viet, the secretaries of the Youth Union Cluster and Ben Tre Province Union respectively, visited and encouraged the volunteers at workshops.

In addition to the four concreted routes with total length of 2,000 meters and the charity house built at the expense of 40 million dongs, the 15-meter bridge with 3 connecting points will be built at the expense of 35 million dongs before the province's Soldier Ceremony. Same to the previous campaigns that follow the motto: “Together We Build The New Countryside”, these works have been conducted by volunteer soldiers - HUTECH’s students - with the support of local people and the sponsorship of Holcim Vietnam Ltd. and Senri Rotary Club. "120 soldiers will have the next 20 days to speed up, finalize the works and then transfer their works to the locals before going home.” said Mr Doan Thanh Phong, person in charge of Ben Tre province.

Besides ensuring the workshop forces, the volunteers are taking care of those people who devoted to the country and families under preferential treatment policy, opening summer classes, teaching martial arts and living skills as well as conducting other important activities after the Groundbreaking Ceremony. The students will also concrete the 300-meter alley in Hoc Mon and build a house for the Union’s members in Ward 25, Binh Thanh District in the coming week.
