THE CONFERENCE ON HO CHI MINH AWARD AND STATE AWARD WAS HELD AT HO CHI MINH UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

The conference became more remarkable with the presence of Dr. Nguyen Quan, Member of the CPV Central Committee – Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology – Chairman of the Conference, Mr. Đang Quang Huan – Chief of Department of Emulation and Reward – Ministry of Science and Technology, representative of HUTECH Board of Rectors –Prof. Dr. Ho Dac Loc – President of HUTECH and the presence of over 100 leaders in charge of science and technology from Da Nang to southern provinces and cities.
Before the conference timeline, Prof. Dr. Ho Dac Loc, President of HUTECH and Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet – Vice President of HUTECH had a meeting with Dr. Nguyen Quan – Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology to report about some achievements of HUTECH in developing science and technology. Minister Nguyen Quan highly appreciated HUTECH future orientation in developing science and technology and hoped that the launching of the project “HUTECH Hi-Tech Institute” in Saigon Hi-Tech Park, District 9 – Ho Chi Minh City, will achieve prominent results.
In the framework of the conference, many important issues, including: Plan No.2043/Ministry of Science and Technology–Emulation and Reward on 15th June 2015 of Ministry of Science and Technology, Decree No. 78/2014/State Decree on 30th July 2014 of the Government, Circular No.31/2014/Circular–Ministry of Science and Technology on 6th November 2014 of Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology were disseminated and executed for exchanging and discussing point of view. According to the result of 5th Conference, the process of giving Ho Chi Minh Award and State Award of Science and Technology will be conducted independently in three levels, including: the local level (from 1st to 31st December 2015), the committee level (from 5th January to 28th February 2016) and the state level (from 10th March to 12th June 2016).

On schedule, the conference on disseminating and executing Ho Chi Minh Award and State Award of Science and Technology for the regions from Da Nang to northern provinces and cities had been held in Hanoi on 6th August 2015 by Ministy of Science and Technology.
The project “HUTECH Hi-Tech Institute”
With 500 billion VNĐ total investment capital in an area of 46.111,1 meters square at Lot E2b.4, D1 Street belonged to the Science Space Zone of Saigon Hi-Tech Park, district 9 – Ho Chi Minh City which is well-known as the heart of research – development and training projects.
The overall construction consists of 4 blocks with 102.964 meters square in total building floor space, including: block A – 8 floors with 17.440 meters square in total building floor space, block B – 12 floors with 59.254 meters square in total building floor space, block C – 8 floors with 17.440 meters square in total building floor space, block D – 6 floors with 8.910 meters square in total building floor space which is built in 3 stages of rolling form. In the first stage, from this time to the end of 2015, block A will be started for construction and will be put into operation. After finishing the first stage, the other blocks will be constructed and will be put into operation at the beginning of 2018.

With these strategic objectives: (1) Researching and developing the application of high technology in the fields of Information Technology, Biotechnology, Automatic Technology, New and Renewable Energy Technology; (2) producing for testing products which are the result of researching; (3) Consulting and transferring the results of researching, information of science and technology, training and retraining specialist knowledge in the fields of Information Technology, Biotechnology, Automatic Technology, New and Renewable Energy Technology; (4) Cooperating in researching and transferring technology with state and overseas organizations and enterprises; (5) Participating and supporting in training postgraduate (Master and Doctor Degree of the fields mentioned above). “HUTECH Hi-Tech Institute” is where HUTECH professors, lecturers and students work, study and carry out basic and applied research to master and innovate technology for enhancing the competitive capacity of Vietnam products in international market.
“HUTECH Hi-Tech Institute” has received great supporting from Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh People’s Committee, the Board of Saigon Hi-Tech Park, District 9 – Ho Chi Minh City with the prospect of educating and training professional and qualified labor force, creating high-tech products and new core technology which achieve Asian as well as international criteria.
