Meritorious Teacher - Dao Manh Hung, President of VITEA meeting at HUTECH

The morning sun of August 09, 2016, Meritorious Teacher Dao Manh Hung, the President of Vietnam Tourism Education Association (VITEA), General Director of Training Department (Ministry of Culture - Sports - Tourism) came to HUTECH, and have the meeting with Prof. Dr. Ho Dac Loc – President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and the leaders of Tourism Management & Hospitality faculty.
Professor Dao Manh Hung evaluated HUTECH as one of the highest quality training centers in travel managemnet and hospitality with the striking demonstration was that the graduates from the Faculty of Tourism Management & Hospitality have made certain contributions in the development of the tourism industry in Vietnam.

Meritorious Teacher - Dao Manh Hung highly appreciated the quality of graduates from the Faculty of Tourism Management & Hospitality at HUTECH.
Meritorious Teacher Dao Manh Hung affirmed that in the future, VITEA would implement a number of large-scale programs and expected HUTECH to support VITEA in these activities especially those relating to training such as organizing training courses on tourism management: travel managers, academic competitions for students of travel management and hospitality in other universities, organizing interactions and exchange between students and enterprises to help students approach the companies and find employment opportunities while studying at school.
On behalf of HUTECH, Professor, Dr. Ho Dac Loc presented the activities of students in HUTECH. Especially, at the Faculty of Tourism Management & Hospitality, students have been involved in many useful activities. Regarding the activities of the Association (VITEA), Professor Ho Dac Loc emphasized that HUTECH would fully commit its best efforts to support the assigned activities.
Dr. Nguyen Quyet Thang, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Management & Hospitality, Vice president of Vietnam Tourism Education Association added: “HUTECH students love the 4-month enterprise semester at four or five - star travel companies, restaurants, hotels nationwide. With this program, students have access to the tourist environment to improve practical situations assessment skill and communication skills. In addition, HUTECH has been focusing on training English for Tourism students – a crucial route in order to give HUTECH students an advantage over the international human resources.”

HUTECH students especially love enterprise semester at travel companies, restaurants, hotels, etc.
HUTECH is also the first university of Vietnam to be granted the right to open the M.A program in Tourism Management and Hospitality by the Ministry of Education and Training. In addition, the Faculty of Tourism Management & Hospitality also offers short-term courses to equip students with qualified skills and profession certificates to practice their major. With good experience of organizing this kind of training, HUTECH will host and support activities in collaboration with VITEA in the upcoming time.
Vietnam Tourism Education Association (VITEA) was officially established on 1st Aug, 2016. The Association plays a role in connecting, supporting, and cooperating with the members in the tourism industry as well as in improving management level at training centers, science and technology, the ability to compete at home and abroad for the members. VITEA also attracts the active participation of businesses in the training, building vocational standards, testing, evaluating and admitting vocational skills; etc.
Moreover, the Association also has the responsibility to build job database and internship portal in order to assist students in finding internships and jobs.
