In the morning of August 20th, 2016, the opening ceremony of the one-year International Bachelor of Restaurant and Culinary Management from Cergy-Pontoise University was operated at HUTECH.

The ceremony warmly welcomed Mr. Jean-Phillip Rousse - Goverment official in Cooperation and Cultural Activities, Manager of French Institute in Vietnam; Mr. Sébastien le Tacon, Rector of Cuisine Institute of Cergy-Pontoise University; professor Eric Olmedo, Mr. Felipe Diaz Marin, and Madam Himena Barrera - delegates from Cergy-Pontoise University and Dr. Kiều Tuân – Chairman of HUTECH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Xuân Lâm - Vice president of HUTECH and head of departments as well as lecturers of HUTECH. The ceremony also invited top companies and specialists in hospitality in Vietnam.

In his speech, Mr. Jean-Philippe Rousse shared: "I am glad to be at the Opening ceremony of International Bachelor of Restaurant and Culinary Management cooperated with Cergy-Pontoise University and HUTECH. HUTECH is a reliable partner in cooperating international programs. I hope there will be more cooperating programs between HUTECH and Cergy-Pontoise University as well as the French education to bring the learning opportunities for Vietnamese students. I wish you will have a year with many interesting experience during the time you research the centuries-old and famous cuisine of France"

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bùi Xuân Lâm, Vice President of HUTECH also shared his trust and hope in this program between two universties, and reminded students should focus on improving skills in their studies, experiencing their practicum in 5 stars hotels, and then, adapt and work in the international working environment.
As a student of this program, Nguyễn Minh Chánh Ngôn felt excited: "As a 3rd year student of Tourism - Restaurant and Hospitality Management and now, a student of 1-year International Bachelor of Restaurant and Culinary Management of Cergy-Pontoise University, I specially have hope in this program. With only 30 students, French lecturers, to study and experience in an international environment, and 5 stars hotel practicum, I believe this program is a wise decision I have chosen for my future."

This program brought a modern educational environment of France and Europe with the fully English course, specially designed and received a good tuition fee. Course books are designed by professors in Cergy-Pontoise University. Lecturers are both from France and Vietnam with 60% French experienced lecturers. Not only do they study knowledge, students also spend their internships in 5 stars hotels and restaurants from Vietnam and foreign countries which consists 50% of the program.

After a year of study, students will get the degree in International Bachelor of Restaurant and Culinary Management from Cergy-Pontoise University. This degree is verified by Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and international qualified, assured to offer students a strong ability and management skills with the opportunities in companies, large corporations of Vietnam and all over the world. Students can also study Master in HUTECH, France and other nations.
