HUTECH changed officially to the quality management systems ISO 9001:2015

Recently, Directorate For Standards, Metrology And Quality, Vietnam Certification Centre (QUACERT) issued their decision on our application for quality management systems ISO 9001:2015 to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). It is a great honour for HUTECH to be the first university certified as we changed successfully to this advanced management system.

These are achievements which  HUTECH achieved after a series of implementation and evaluations to prove compliancy with quality management ISO 9001:2015 standard at 11 units of HUTECH and result of dossiers, certificates examination which were carried out by professional evaluation mission (which took place in December 7th and 8th 2016) and Vietnam Certification Centre.

At the evaluation, HUTECH was highly rated for: the School Management Boards' commitment to change and apply the quality management systems ISO 9001:2015 for university training and full – time college; Information system which established relatively sufficient, saving, keeping and embracing certification scale; Spacious infrastructure was invested to serve for quality teaching and studying demand; The teaching staffs who have academic professional titles and diplomas, enthusiasm for their jobs. The experience in applying quality management systems through many periods. Besides, QUARCERT noticed that HUTECH needs to complete some contents: Recognizing sufficiently duties which need to conform from interested parties to be basis for doing and evaluating conformation; Establishing quality goals and keeping track of doing; Managing equipment which need to be safe at professional laboratory; and Managing teacher’s ability files. Within 2 months in the prescribed time, HUTECH actively overcome unsuitable points, delivered in writing for QUACERT and was evaluated, confirmed that HUTECH suited the requirement of TCVN ISO 9001;2015 / ISO 9001:2015. The certification takes effect from January 19th 2017 to the end of January 18th 2020.
Before, in September 2016, HUTECH also held a management training day on quality management systems ISO 9001:2015 for leaders, officials who are responsible for ISO of all units in university to create basic step which helps officials – lecturers – staffs of HUTECH to understand requirements. Then they can effectively apply quality management systems according to the new standards in promoting quality goal and policies to every unit. The changing to quality management systems ISO 9001:2015 is the most specific evidence to assert for leading quality management systems of HUTECH in nation education systems, at the same time to create basis for new progress of university in training management, teaching and studying. The process of application and convert ISO versions at HUTECH through years On August 8th 2007, HUTECH became a pioneer university in country to apply ISO 9001:2015 in all of training and education management activities of the university. On December 4th 2013, HUTECH continued to successfully change to management systems ISO 9001:2008. On January 19th 2017, HUTECH has continued to successfully change to management systems ISO 9001:2015. As a result, up to now, HUTECH has maintained and carried out ISO nearly 10 years. The university continuously confirmed pioneer position in applying quality management systems ISO to training and education activities and HUTECH is also leading in supplying training and supporting services for students.
