HUTECH staff and lecturers participate in the training course "Designing curriculum to meet the academic program’s expected outcomes"

On November 7-8, the Center for Quality Assurance together with the Office Administration of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a training session titled  "Designing curriculum to meet the academic program’s expected outcomes" for leaders, lecturers and staff of the university.

Participating in the training session were leaders of departments, program heads, and lead faculty of subjects from several Institutes, Faculties, and Centers within the university. 

Leading the training courses were experienced professionals in the field of academic accreditation and quality assurance at HUTECH and from universities throughout Ho Chi Minh City.

The training program was broken up into two main sessions. On November 7, HUTECH several HUTECH staff and lecturers who had attended previous training courses in Thailand guided the participants through the detailed analysis of the criteria according to the AUN-QA quality assessment standards. These instructors also shared their own experiences in designing and constructing academic programs, course curriculum, and expected outcomes as well as maintain the quality assurance activities of the programs at their units. In this session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Sau also spent time going over the Guidelines for writing the self-assessment reports as part of the program quality accreditation process according to TT04/2016/TT-BGDDT.

On November 8, HUTECH staff - lecturers heard Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh presented on the requirements for quality assurance/accreditation of training programs; applying CDIO method in course design and development; writing program and course descriptions and developing course curriculum.
