International seminar “Industrial Revolution 4.0” well organised in HUTECH

In February 24th 2017, at the HCMC University of Technology (HUTECH) was held the International Conference "Industrial Revolution 4.0 and applications at universities and colleges in Vietnam" by the Association of Universities and College Vietnam.
Attending the seminar were Mr. Hoang Nam Nhat - Vice Director of Deputy of Education - Training; Assoc. Prof. Mac Van Tien - Head of the Scientific Research Institute of Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Vu Thi Ngoc Van - representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam. On the side of the coporation units, Klaus Hengbach - Director of Education and Training International Organizations Phoenix Contact; Mr. Charlie Nguyen - founder of CMS Global Group (USA). Representatives of the Association of Universities, Colleges Vietnam with Prof. Tran Hong Quan - Chairman, Dr. Sc. Phan Quang Trung and Prof. Tran Xuan Nhi - Vice President of the Association Council. The seminar also brought together many teachers and researchers from prestigious universities and colleges throughout the country.

In the opening speech, Dr. Sc. Phan Quang Trung - Vice Chairman of the Association of Universities, Colleges Vietnam said that the significant characteristics of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 are the merging of several kinds of technology, blurring the boundaries between fields . However, like all the previous industrial revolution, it could lead to greater inequality, especially the risk of breaking the labor market - not only threatens low level workers, but also qualifications can also be affected. So education must give learners the skills and basic knowledge and creative thinking, the ability to adapt to business requirements are constantly changing to avoid the risk of rejection.
Representatives in the seminar
Representatives of the University, College made a presentation about the directions of the development of higher education to achieve application and respond to the changes caused by the industrial revolution created 4.0. Assoc Mai Thanh Phong - Vice-Rector of the University of Technology (HUT) emphasized the role in the Industrial Revolution: shaped, guided and dependent. In addition, enhanced problem in training programs are also interested by delegates.

Representatives from HUTECH, Assoc Bui Xuan Lam - Vice Rector, Head of Institute of International Education presented the issue of international cooperation in education from the Perspective of Private University Vietnam. The presentation pointed out the changes of the modern world in the field of education, approach and conduct international cooperation model, a model of international cooperation is conducted in HUTECH.

In the afternoon, the seminar continued with the discussion revolves around the student support models such as online courses, online university, the application helps improve the ability to use English for students in university and college of Vietnam. Dr. Luu Thanh Tam - Vice-Rector of HUTECH shared experiences for applications in Industrial, creating a favorable learning environment, one of the outstanding successes by HUTECH students, parents and society over the years.

The workshop took place in the February 24th and 25th. In February 25th, the workshop will take place in Ho Tram (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) with multiple conversations, discussions between universities, colleges and the recruitment units, the production teams to discuss orientations for future trades.
