On November 19th, Institute of International Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology(HUTECH) organized the launching ceremony of the international bachelor program in restaurant management and culinary arts year 2018. This is the joint program between Cergy – Pontoise University (UCP) and HUTECH

Prof. Dr. Eric Olmedo, project manager of France-Vietnam-Malaysia Cooperation was the representative of Cergy-Pontoise University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam, Vice President of HUTECH, Dr. Pham Thi Hai Quynh, Director of Institute of International Education, lecturers of Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management and many students attended this event.

At the ceremony, Dr. Bui Xuan Lam shared about the important successes of the program in recent years, and expressed his strong belief of the development of program. The tourism and hospitality industry has developed rapidly in Vietnam and the need of trained workforce has become more demanding than ever before. The program with the high-standard training requirements assures graduated students with knowledge and skills to adapt well to international working environment.

“Vietnam is a developing country, specially, focusing on Tourism and Hospitality Management. Therefore, a vast demand of human resource is currently necessary to serve this field. I believe that career opportunities for students will be brighter and brighter after graduation” Prof. Eric Olmedo said.

Students who have a professional bachelor degree or complete first three years of bachelor program in tourism, hotel or restaurant management can apply for this program.

Launching ceremony was an important milestone in studying of freshmen UCP

Cergy-Pontoise university was established since 1991. It is known as a top university that offers the best training quality in term of Hospitality Management. The International cooperation program in restaurant management and culinary arts between HUTECH and Cergy-Pontoise was signed since 2015. Graduate students will receive bachelor’s degree issued by Cergy-Pontoise university. The degree will have international value and be recognized by Ministry of Education and Training Vietnam
