In the afternoon of January 15th, 2019, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities organized a contest “Traditions of TET” at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology(HUTECH).

Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Them, counsellor of the Board of Rectors; Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities; Dr. Trinh Viet Then, Vice Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, and students of the Faculty accompanied 20 groups of contestants in the contest.

The purpose of the contest was to help HUTECH students know clearly about traditional customs in Vietnamese TET holidays through two rounds: Questions and answers about traditional customs, and wrapping Chung cake. As the results, group K18, Chinese Studies class, won the first prize. The second and third prizes respectively belonged to Psychology and Japanese Studies classes in group K17.
On the occasion of Spring, the competition was an opportunity for students to come together and learn more about Vietnamese TET culture. Moreover, students would be aware of conservation and development of Vietnam’s cultural identity.
