HUTECH welcomes Korea International Cooperation Agency’s volunteer

On August 5th, 2019, Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanity of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) welcomed and met a volunteer from Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
At the meeting, representatives of HUTECH, Mr. Le Dinh Luong, Chief of Office and Dr. Bui Phan Anh Thu, Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanity welcomed Mr. Shin In Cheol and Mr. Kim Huyn Jong from KOICA.

Mr. Shin In Cheol, KOICA’s volunteer, visited and worked at HUTECH

The leaders of HUTECH share not only the working system and mechanism at HUTECH with KOICA’s volunteer, but also the admission and working procedures at Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanity. Thus, Mr. Shin In Cheol will work at Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanity of HUTECH for a year. In this period, the faculty will create more opportunities for him to meet and exchange with lecturers, specialists, and students of the faculty.

HUTECH and KOICA expect to have many cultural and academic exchange activities to create the best learning environment for HUTECH students

 
In recent years, HUTECH has received significant support from volunteers from KOICA, especially Ms. Kim Hyun Jin, a KOICA’s volunteer who has been working at HUTECH in the cohort of 2018-2019. She supported by not only teaching at the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanity but also participating in consultancy of many effective and meaningful student activities. Besides, she also attempted to make a proposal for over 100 Korea course books as well as Korean culture publications sponsored by KOICA.

By sending volunteers to support and work at developing countries in many fields such as economy and social development, KOICA aims to boost international cooperation, technology transfer, experience sharing, collaborative relationships and mutual exchanges between Korea and developing countries. At HUTECH, KOICA has significantly supported the education sector for the last two years, including Korea teaching, learning materials, and cultural exchanges. Both sides hoped that cooperation would promote sustainable relationship and bring more benefits to HUTECH students.
