On October 12th, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology(HUTECH) contestants of Film Fest 2019 experienced and learned making films using Sony digital devices at the workshop “How devices capture your ideas?”.

The workshop has received great attention of the delegates, including Dr. Nguyen Quoc Anh, Vice President of HUTECH; Head of the Organization Board of HUTECH Film Fest season 2; Mr. Le Dinh Luong, Chief of HUTECH Administration Office; Ms. Dang Thi Mai Phuong, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Media and Design of HUTECH, Head Deputy of the Organization Board of the contest. Representatives of Sony Vietnam were Mr. Tran Quang Khai, Southern Sales Manager, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Southern Product Manager.

Giving a speech at the event, Mr. Tran Quang Khai expressed the joy when Sony Vietnam accompanies HUTECH students in the major of Media and Design in helping them become future successful filmmakers. Moreover, Sony is also the provider of many digital devices for the Faculty of Media and Design of HUTECH in many workshops or events such as HUTECH Idol. On behalf of the Board of Rectors, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Anh hoped that the creativeness from students and the firm foundation of modern technology from Sony would inspire students to prove themselves in the field of film making.

HUTECH Film Fest season 2 attracted the attention of many students
Along with the official announcement of contest launching, the Organization Board also publish the regulation and timeline. After the qualifying round, 30 chosen film projects would be posted on the contest fanpage to get voting from the audience from December 2nd to December 14th, 2019. Especially, the highest award includes the cash prize of VND 20.000.000 and 01 Super 35 4K Sony PXW-FS5M2K camcorder worth $5.200. In addition to the valuable prize, the group with the best film award will officially represent Vietnam to join the international competition organized by Sony in Singapore.

To help students use digital devices and execute their ideas, experts and technical specialists from Sony carefully instructed all HUTECH contestants. The workshop “How devices capture your ideas” created a great opportunity for students to meet and learn from experts to enhance knowledge which supports their studies and confidently prepares their ideas to create excellent short films at the contest “HUTECH Film Fest 2019”.
