HUTECH manufactures anti-bacterial anti-epidemic masks for Covid-19

On the mornings of March 11th and March 14th, Textile Technology lecturers and students of Faculty of Architecture & Arts at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) joined the production project for antibacterial medical cloth masks with the goal of supporting HUTECH students, staff and lecturers when they come back to campus in the face of the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic.
The Project is directly led by Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Quyen - Dean of HUTECH Architecture & Arts Faculty and operated with the companion of Ms. Pham Thi Khanh Giang - Creative Director of J-P Fashion Company and Mr. Thi Minh Tuan – Manager from Phong Phu International Garment Company (PPJ) as the sponsor of high quality antibacterial medical cloth for the project; with the cooperation of Dr. Vu Van Hoang - Director of Dai Viet Design Consulting, Supervision and Construction Investment Joint Stock Company, Mr. Luong Tu Cuong - Director of Ken Xinh Architecture Co., Ltd. All of them are alumni of Faculty of Architecture & Arts and HUTECH Institute of Technology.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Quyen, the project has produced 1600 masks in the first batch with the desire to bring masks of quality antibacterial medical cloth, which can be reused to contribute to protecting the health of HUTECH students on the return day of the University. Furthermore, the project is expected to produce more than 1,000 antibacterial masks to support HUTECH students, staffs and lecturers in the next batch. The project has attracted attention of many businesses with humane and practical meaning and is expected to continue to supply enough masks to the HUTECH members and also encourage the community to prevent the spread and repel the Covid-19 epidemic together.
Dr. Ngoc Quyen shared that 1600 masks will be used to support HUTECH students on the return day of the University and encourage the community to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
Hopefully, the project will deploy smoothly and successfully to continue to accompany HUTECH and the society on the journey of disease prevention, ensuring safety for students and people.
