HUTECH students take part in exchange semester at Open University of Malaysia

Continuing the successes of the exchange semester programs between Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH) and reputable universities in the world such as VIA-Design University (VIA-TEKO - Denmark) and Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin (RMUTR - Thailand), HUTECH takes a step further in expanding opportunities for their students to study and exchange with the international student community, to promote integrating skills and to develop themselves comprehensively at Open University of Malaysia (OUM) from February 2017.

Thereby, the first group of 18 HUTECH students majoring in English Language has been eager to be studying at OUM. Their classes start from February 24th and ends on April 29th, 2017. This activity is part of the Exchange Semester Program between HUTECH and OUM - one of the major partners of HUTECH in international cooperative education.

All credit earned by exchange students at OUM will be recognized by HUTECH
Exchange students are studying and exchanging at OUM together with the companion of enthusiastic and devoted lecturers and students of OUM
Throughout the whole time at OUM, the exchange students will be studying and exchanging at OUM together with the companion of enthusiastic and devoted lecturers and students of OUM. Their study program is with in-depth design, and is taught solely in English, as equivalent to the program taught at HUTECH, including 6 modules: Note-taking Skills, Discussion Skills, Essay Writing, Reading Literary Texts, British & American Culture and Society, English Morphology Phonology. At the end of the semester at OUM, credits earned by exchange students will be converted to HUTECH credit for equivalent subjects including: Listening & Speaking 4, Writing 3, Reading 4, British & American Culture and Society, Linguistics.

Aside studying, exchange students can also take part in various interesting cultural exchange activities
In order for full-time students in the majors of English Language, Business Administration, Finance - Banking and Information Technology of all cohorts (from 1st year to 4th year) to have a chance in the exchange semester at international universities, HUTECH Institute of International Education is processing applications for the Exchange Semester program at Open University of Malaysia (OUM) - Phase 2.
This is a “Golden Opportunity” for HUTECH students to complete their remaining credits in an international education environment. The program is taught in English and all the credits acquired at OUM are acknowledged by HUTECH.
- Application Time: From the day of announcement to 11:00 April 28th, 2017.
- Semester starts: July 2017.
