In order to help students exploring the world of contemporary graphics, Faculty of Media and Design held a talk show named “A Visual Tour Graphic Design in San Francisco” with a speaker-artist Do Huu Thanh.

 

On November 24th, talk show was taken place at HUTECH. Ms. Dang Thi Mai Phuong- Vice Dean of Faculty of Media and Design, Mr. Tran Thanh Canh, Head of Graphic Design Department, lecturers, and students in faculty joined the meeting.

Many students joined talkshow and met the speaker - artist Do Huu Thanh

 

The main speaker Do Huu Thanh, who had experience working over 17 years in France and 24 years in the United States in the graphic design industry with leading brands such as Pepsi Cola, Nestle, Unilever Bestfoods , America West Airline, Sprint PCS, Lipton Tea and Robert Mondavi. At many universities in Vietnam, he also took part in founding graphic design major. Currently, he is a lecturer in graphic design at Faculty of Media and Design at HUTECH.

Advice and orientation from artist Do Huu Thanh will help students to become professional designers in the future
 

In the meeting, Mr, Do Huu Thanh and students had a tour around San Francisco, where contemporary graphic art is the most dynamic place in the world. Through a story “A Visual Tour Graphic Design in San Francisco”, Mr. Do Huu Thanh shared his experience and feeling about noticeable features in San Francisco including street design, banner design, impressive and attractive signs from the anonymous designers. Finally, he gave some advice and orientation to help students to become professional designers in the future.
