HUTECH cooperates with Hallym University and Korean Language Center in HCMC

On September 20th, 2019, Leaders of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had two meetings and worked with representatives of Hallym University (Korea) and Korean Language Center in HCMC. The two meetings took place with many important cooperative agreed which brings many benefits HUTECH students.
In the morning, representatives of HUTECH, Dr. Phan Anh Thu, Vice Director of Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities and Dr. Pham Hai Dinh, Vice Director of Institute of International Education, discussed with delegates from Hallym University, including Dr. Kim Ik Tae, Supervisor at major of Culture Industry, the Faculty of Global Education and Mr. Jeon Ju Su, Professor at Hallym Univeristy.

Representatives of the two universities discussed and exchanged short and long term exchange student programs and policies to create more learning conditions, opportunities for for students of the two universities to experience new cultures. More specifically, HUTECH students would have opportunities to participate in short term courses, experience Korean festivals and working styles, and enhance the use of Korean at Hallym University in the upcoming time.

Dr. Pham Hai Dinh and Dr. Kim Ik Tae signed an MOU marking the important cooperative relationship between the two units
In the afternoon of the same day, leaders of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of HUTECH also worked with Korean Language Center of the Minister of Korean Training and Education in HCMC led by Ms. Ko Ji Hyung.

At the meeting, Ms. Ko Ji Hyung, Vice Director of Korean Language Center in HCMC, shared that the Center would sponsor free TOPIK preparation courses and organize Korean speaking contests at HUTECH for students studying Korean at universities and colleges in HCMC in the school year 2019-2020. Especially, she and leaders of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities of HUTECH also discussed training and student exchange programs with Korean educational organizations to help students enhance their knowledge about Korean skills and culture.

The cooperation between HUTECH and Korean organizations would bring more learning conditions and enhance students’ knowledge as well as Korean skills
With the expansion in cooperation with educational organizations and universities from Korea, HUTECH has a strong desire to provide students with many opportunities to study, experience foreign culture, and improve soft skills in Korea so that they would develop a professional style and technical skills to work at Korean enterprises in the current era of globalization.
