On the afternoon of September 13, the Youth Union - Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) launched a program to support the people affected by floods and storms in the Northern provinces of Vietnam.
Recently, Typhoon Yagi and widespread rains have caused significant damage to daily life and production in these areas. In solidarity with the national effort to provide aid, the HUTECH Youth Union - Student Association initiated a donation drive named "HUTECH Joins Hands to Help Northern Communities Overcome Flood Challenges."
HUTECH Youth Union - Student Association initiates a donation drive to support people affected by storms and floods in the North of Vietnam
The donation drive will run from 2 PM on September 13 to 5 PM on September 20, 2024. HUTECH staff, lecturers, Union members, and students can visit the donation table at the Dien Bien Phu Headquarters (Saigon Campus) to make a contribution.
After collecting all donations, they will be distributed to the families of the University's students in the affected areas and through local authorities to directly assist the people in the provinces.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Anh, Vice President, stated, "We hope that the support from our staff, lecturers, and students will help alleviate the hardships caused by Typhoon Yagi in the North."
