ELRC SEMINAR “FINDING MATERIALS AND PLANNING OUTLINE FOR RESEARCH PAPER”

To fulfill her promise, ELRC club president M.A Tran Kim Hong had the first seminar in the school year 2021-2022 for the club. The seminar was held on October 16 via online form on Google Meet.
At the seminar, Ms Hong gave an overview of the process of implementing a scientific research project, from the first steps such as understanding the research question; "hot" issues need to be researched. Sources that can help students collect data are: Google Scholar, Research Gate, and especially the source from the Hutech Online library.
Following the seminar, she gave the students opportunity to practice creating research questions and observe the issues to be studied with the topic "Learning Online". This will help students be able to immediately apply the theory they have just heard, and at the same time can overcome mistakes in the process of developing the topic such as: the research problem is too broad, difficult to understand, or that the research problem is too easy to accept.
In addition to the conventions of writing research properly, she also enthusiastically gave small notes in the process of implementing the research topic such as: how to set a title of no more than 20 words, arrange the title of the authors alphabetically and APA format for references.
To help students improve the necessary research skills, be more stable when implementing their own research ideas, the first seminar of the ELRC club took place very successfully, attracting more than 170 students of the Faculty of English. This was a sign of a successful start.
