The enthusiastic cultural exchange between the students of the English Language Faculty and their Korean friends

On the morning of August 23, the students of the English Language Faculty of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had a meeting and culture exchange with friends from Hankuk University of Foreign Languages and Dankook University (South Korea).
The exchange was attended by Dr. Jae Seung Beak – the representative of Hankuk University of Foreign Languages, Dr. Tran Quoc Thao – the Deputy Dean of the English Language Faculty, Vo Quoc Dai – the Head of Business English, along with many lecturers from the English Language Faculty.

Coming to the program, the Korean students introduced the cultural characteristics, history, and extracurricular activities at their university, as well as the famous culture days in Korea along with the promise of holding a day for Vietnam - Korea cultural exchange in the near future.

In response, the students from HUTECH English Language Faculty performed songs and dances, creating a lively atmosphere. They were also proud to introduce the Vietnamese culture through traditional handicrafts (nón lá), folk games (tò he), and "updates" on the Vietnamese student life and favorite street foods for Korean friends. Experiencing the signature rice paper mix at the program also left an interesting impression on the Korean students.

At the end of the program, the students shared their perspectives on studying, working, and researching in the major they are studying and on their future work. The exchange program is an occasion for the students of HUTECH English Language Faculty to learn about other cultures, to explore the orientation of Korean universities, to connect with international friends, and to improve foreign language skills and international integration. It is known that the series of international exchanges for the students of HUTECH English Language Faculty with friends from Hankuk University of Foreign Languages and Dankook University will continue in the coming time.
