Ở trọ trần gian (Earthly lodging) & Thời kế hồi (Time of Revival) - Multimedia students put on a show to express their love for Trinh’s music

Among the recent projects of Multimedia students (The Faculty of Communication and Design, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - HUTECH), there were two musical events with the mutual love for Trinh’s music, namely “Thời kế hồi” (Time of Revival) and “Ở trọ trần gian” (Earthly Lodging). These shows were created by the student groups from class 17DPTA1.

Taking place on the night of January 20, “Trịnh khúc - Thời kế hồi” (Trinh’s song: Time of Revival) opened the series of live television programs production projects. The event was inspired by the endless cycle in human life, which was one of the inspirations of the late musician.

The music of “Trịnh khúc - Thời kế hồi” (Trinh’s song: Time of Revival) was an audacious combination of Trinh Cong Son tracks and modern music, through the performance of Ali Hoang Duong, Tony D, rapper KayCee, etc. conveying the message of desires to live every moment of life to the fullest.

Meanwhile, “Trinh’s ca: Ở trọ trần gian” (Trinh’s song: Earthly lodging) show, which was held on January 22, took the audiences on an endless musical journey of songs that made the name for the musician, such as “Để gió cuốn đi” (Gone with the wind), “Còn tuổi nào cho em” (At what age?), “Cát bụi”(Dust), “Huyền thoại mẹ” (The legend of a mother), etc. and a dance performance to recreate the fateful encounter between the late musician and the singer Khanh Ly - the one who popularized Trinh’s music to the public.

The events had the attendance of singers such as Nhu Tuyet, Uyen Dang, Khang Ngoc, etc. and especially rapper Ha Le - a singer with a unique performance style of Trinh’s songs and the creator of Trinh Contemporary project. The event attracted more than 500 audiences, including senior audiences with a love for Trinh’s music in Ho Chi Minh City.
