Kickstarted on January 22, a series of 2021 spring volunteer activities have been organized by Vietnam - Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). Among the highlights were the fundraising concert "Spring - the season of sharing" and the charity event "Spring in the Highlands" in Di Linh district, Lam Dong province.
The gala "Spring - the season of sharing'' co-organized by Keiko Arts Club, Isshou Japanese Language Club and VJIT Youth Union, recreated a bustling Tet atmosphere with beautiful music performances that were joined by the enthusiastic cheers of all students present at the concert.
VJIT students get ready for a colorful and exciting spring music gala "Spring - the season of sharing"
According to the organizers, the fundraising concert "Spring of Sharing'' has raised more than 80,000,000 VND which will be used in bringing Tet gifts elderly people and children staying at homeless shelters and orphanages in District 8 and Cu Chi District (Ho Chi Minh City). This is also one of the main activities within the framework of VJIT’s Spring Volunteer campaign.
Through the “The spring union of the dragon and phoenix” song, VJIT students send their good wishes for an exciting and bright New Year filled with happiness
Following the fundraising concern, VJIT students continued their journey to bring spring colors to all disadvantaged families in rural highland areas in Lam Dong province through the charity event "Spring in the Highlands" taking place on the 23rd and 24th of January.
Volunteer students from VJIT make traditional Vietnamese glutinous rice cakes (banh chung and banh tet) as gifts for the local people
Besides, VJIT volunteers also participated in the spring cleaning and beautification project. Warning signs were also put up by students in the areas close to streams, ponds and lakes to ensure the safety of the local people, especially children.
Giving away 25 scholarships and 20 New Year gifts to disadvantaged children and families
The beautiful colors of spring seem to be brighter through the meaningful gifts and emotional embraces shared by the volunteers with the local community through the 2021 Spring Volunteer campaign.
