CENTER FOR CORPORATE RELATIONS

INTRODUCTION
 
Center for Corporate Relations was established under Decision No. 858/QD-DKC signed on April 11th, 2014 by the President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). The Center operates as a functional unit under the Board of Presidents.
 
MISSION AND FUNCTIONS
>>> Functions:
 - Advising and assisting the University’s President in the organization and management of cooperation activities between the University and domestic and foreign enterprises.
 
- Creating programs and activities to provide skills training and career development for students; supporting the University’s departments in matters related to students’ internships and jobs.
 
- Advising and assisting the University’s President in matters related to alumni.
 
 
>>> Mission:
 - Consulting, organizing, and managing industry partnership and corporation activities

  • Develop consistent institutional procedures on how to conduct and maintain university-corporate relations;
  • Building a database listing information of enterprise and corporate partners;
  • Suggesting improvements to training programs based on feedback received from enterprises
 
- Building relationships and cooperation with organizations and enterprises
  • Coordinating with other departments/faculties to build and maintain strong cooperative relationships with domestic and foreign enterprises;
  • Mobilizing enterprises to sponsor students’ scholarships, donating equipment, providing funding for facility development projects and student research activities;
  • Being responsible for developing joint training programs and promoting technology transfer between the University and enterprises.
 
- Assisting students in seeking internships and full-time employment
  • Support Faculties/Institutes to find enterprises allowing students to visit, observe and experience the actual working environment;
  • Presiding over the organization of job fairs;
  • Promoting internship programs and offering engineers and graduates opportunities to work abroad.
 
- Supporting students in soft skills training and career development
  • Organizing career orientation and professional skills training courses for students;
  • Organizing several activities including dialogue with CEOs, career forums, and networking events through which students get motivated by inspirational talks shared by successful business leaders;
  • Accelerating students’ start-up projects by establishing connections with enterprises that can support fundraising.
 
- Building and maintaining the alumni network
  • Coordinating with other departments/faculties to build and maintain relationships with alumni; creating an alumni database;
  • Building connections and strengthening the bonds between successful alumni and students to motivate and inspire student learning.

 
- Performing other tasks as assigned by the Board of Presidents
