As part of its working trip to the Philippines from October 22 to 24, the delegation from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) paid official visits to three prestigious universities: Batangas State University (BatStateU), Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU), and De La Salle University (DLSU) Manila.
The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, Vice President, joined by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, Director of the Institute of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Viet, Head of the Department of Science and Technology; Dr. Pham The Anh Phu, Lecturer and Researcher of the Faculty of Information Technology; and Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Head of the Department of International Relations and Project Management.
HUTECH delegation visits and works with three universities in the Philippines
During the meetings with the three universities, both sides discussed various opportunities for academic cooperation, including student and faculty exchange programs, joint research projects, international scientific conferences, dual-degree programs, and innovation initiatives. The Philippine partners highly appreciated HUTECH’s research capacity, application-oriented training, and internationalization vision, recognizing the university as one of the most dynamic institutions in Vietnam.
Discussions foster multiple directions for academic, research, and development cooperation
The meetings also included sharing experiences in university management, curriculum development, and education internationalization, particularly in digital governance and regional quality assurance models. Both HUTECH and its partners expressed a strong desire to promote long-term collaboration toward building a green, sustainable, and community-connected university ecosystem.
Sharing experiences and aligning directions toward sustainable development cooperation
A central theme throughout the discussions was sustainability in higher education. HUTECH and its partner universities shared a common vision of integrating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into training, research, and governance. The parties agreed to develop joint projects in green energy, clean technology, innovative education, and community development, contributing to regional sustainability efforts.

Alongside the working sessions, the HUTECH delegation toured the facilities, laboratories, innovation centers, and green campuses of the partner universities. Their modern, practice-oriented, and technology-driven educational models serve as valuable references for HUTECH’s future development strategies.
