On March 26, the Faculty of Finance and Commerce of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) in collaboration with ACFB Academic Club organized a student contest titled "Financial Investment Simulation Challenge.”
The event was joined by representatives from Biggen Joint Stock Company, including Mr. Nguyen Huu Son - CEO and Ms. Le Thanh Ngan - Co-Founder. On HUTECH’s side, there were faculty members of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce, namely Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Tung - Dean of the Faculty and Mr. Tran Nam Trung - Vice Dean of the Faculty along with lecturers and students of the Faculty.

Delivering the opening remarks, Mr. Tran Nam Trung said, “In the current state of the economy which is filled with opportunities and challenges, it is of necessity for each individual to have a comprehensive overview of our surrounding environment and society for the sake of making appropriate investment decisions. I hope that today’s program makes significant contributions to enriching your knowledge and understanding of financial investment”. In this program, students of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce are given the opportunity to experience and engage in activities of various stock markets and cash flow management that are simulated through the “Cashflow Game.”

The program was attended by leaders and lecturers of the Faculty of Finance and Commerce as well as representatives of the Office of Student Affairs and the University’s Youth Union
The “Cashflow Game” simulates the life of a person amid the financial flows. To win the game, players are required to master the management of different cashflows from ownership of assets, revenue streams, expenditures, debts to investment opportunities and financial transactions. The financial thinking and investment style are shaped through the different decisions that players make along the way.

Besides “Cashflow Game”, the students have the chance to challenge themselves with other stock market games including “China Town” and “Stockpile”. Through these games, students can accumulate and develop their basic knowledge about financial investment as well as refresh and unwind after long hours of study.
