On April 15, the Faculty of Finance and Commerce at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a seminar titled "HUTECH students start-up and develop online businesses on e-commerce platforms.” The program included guests speakers from Tiki Joint Stock Company and Momo Online Mobile Service Joint Stock Company.
Attending the seminar were members of the University’s leadership, Board of Presidents, Dean of the Faculty along with lecturers from the Faculty of Finance - Commerce.

The seminar has invited several industry representatives to be guest speakers, including Mr. Nguyen Chi Tho - Senior Director of Tiki Trading Joint Stock Company, Mr. Thai Tri Hung - Deputy General Director of Momo - Online Mobile Service Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tri - Sales Director of PA Vietnam Co., Ltd., and Mr. Pham Hoang Viet - Director of E-commerce Development and Digital Transformation of IM Group. The seminar also features the appearance of Vietnam Animal Industry Joint Stock Company (Vissan) along with representatives from other businesses and enterprises.

At the seminar, the guest speakers provided students with a comprehensive market overview and current trends in e-commerce. According to studies and statistical reports by Google, Temasek, Bain & Co., Vietnam currently has one of the fastest-growing B2C e-commerce markets in Southeast Asia, which has created significant employment opportunities for students majoring in Economics, E-commerce, Information Technology, etc.

In the latter part of the program, Mr. Thai Tri Hung took a deep dive into the factors driving the e-commerce boom in Vietnam. Given the fast pace of change in the global business environment, smart and timely decisions will avoid the risk of falling behind other business competitors.

Our guest speakers were also more than happy to answer these questions thoroughly.
