Opening ceremony of the “2016 Nurturing HUTECH talents” scholarship program

On the morning of December 23, the “2016 Nurturing HUTECH Talents” scholarship program was officially launched at the Conference Room A-08.20 at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH).
“Nurturing Talent” is a scholarship for students studying Accounting, Finance, and Banking majors, who wish to pursue an international career. The program offers students the opportunity to obtain the ACCA British Chartered Accountant Certificate to apply for positions at multinational corporations and companies. The program is organized by Smart Train Training Center - ACCA’s PLATINUM qualified training partner - in collaboration with the Faculty of Accounting, Finance, and Banking of HUTECH with the support from the British Association of Chartered Certified Accountants ACCA and RSM Auditing & Consulting Co.Ltd.

Ms. Le Thi Phuong Uyen - Head of External Relations Department of ACCA Vietnam not only shared interesting information related to “ACCA - The career ladder in the field of auditing”, but also some crucial knowledge and skills in the field of accounting and finance. In addition, representatives of Smart Train Center and RSM Auditing & Consulting Company, sponsors of the program, clarified some information about scholarships, internships and career opportunities for scholarship recipients at the company.

To be successfully selected for the “2016 Nurturing Talent” scholarship, students would need to go through two rounds including the first round of English Writing about the Accounting - Finance Major which took place during the event and subsequent interviews with foreign lecturers. The top 20 students with the highest scores would receive scholarships to attend the ACCA program at Smart Train; comprising of 01 full scholarship worth 126 million VND, 02 scholarships worth 70% of the course value, 17 scholarships worth 40% of the course value and the opportunity to visit and intern at the RSM Auditing & Consulting company.
