"Young financial investor"- a new playground for students of the Faculty of Accounting, Finance, and Banking

On May 19, 2015, the 1st "Young Financial Investor" Competition was organized at Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH). Hosted by the AFB Club of the Faculty of Accounting, Finance, and Banking, the competition is an academic playground for students to improve the necessary knowledge and skills for students majoring in finance on general and specialized subject knowledge, English for finance majors, and IQ.

With the participation of 350 teams of two, the contestants were quizzed on their general and subject knowledge. All teams joined the competition with the highest level of concentration and determination to win the top prizes. After the intense race of 12 teams in the Semi - final round, the top four teams advanced to the Final round.

In the end, team Diamond got 500 points, Zombie achieved 462 points, 2T and Meo scored 320 and 297 respectively. Thus, team Diamond won the First Prize in the competition. Besides, several lucky members of the audience received book giveaways from the organizers by correctly answering pop quiz questions.

Through the competition, students have the chance to have a better grasp of specialized subject knowledge, while reviewing the lessons learned from their courses. The "Young Financial Investor" competition continues to make a strong impression on the dynamism and confidence of students of the Faculty of Accounting, Finance, and Banking. This is also a valuable opportunity for students to apply their knowledge in solving practical financial problems, thereby motivating them in learning and striving towards becoming successful financial investors in the future.
