On 13/4, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences, and the family of HUTECH student, Phan Thanh Loi, presented the University with two automatic hand sanitizer dispensers.
Wanting to support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic while protecting the health and safety of members of the university, Phan Thanh Loi - a student of class 19DTP of HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences, with support from his family and the Executive Committee of the Institute’s Youth Union, successfully built and installed automatic hand sanitizer dispensers.
Mr. Lam Vinh Son - Vice Director of HUTECH Institute of Applied Sciences and Phan Thanh Loi next to a hand sanitizer dispenser located at 475A Dien Bien Phu Headquarters
Having a compact design (40x30x20), the device holds a storage tank of over 3 liters of sanitizing solution (made from 90% alcohol mixed with hand softening ingredients and fragrance solution). The automatic dispenser can be operated using 12V power which is very convenient in transporting and installing the equipment.
As the Institute of Applied Sciences continues with the research and development of new features to be added to the device, updated versions of the automatic hand sanitizer dispenser will contribute positively toward the prevention and control effort of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr. Kieu Tuan - Chairman of the University’s Board of Directors and lecturers test out the hand sanitizer dispenser. The device is among several HUTECH-made products contributing to the nationwide effort to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic
The automatic hand sanitizer dispenser is among several products created by HUTECH faculty and students that have contributed toward the effort to protect the health of the campus community in preventing the spread of Covid-19. Previously, the Faculty of Pharmacy and the laboratory of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Minh Thi (CM Thi Lab) has formulated and produced antiseptic hand sanitizer products that can be used by the employees and students upon returning to campus. With the support of sponsors, the Faculty of Architecture and Arts also sow and donated thousands of antibacterial cloth masks, including 5,000 to HUTECH students, 12,000 to the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, and 600 to the Department of Education and Training of Tien Giang province. Joining together with the whole country, these meaningful and timely actions are significant gestures in the collective fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
