On April 17, Huynh Thanh Phat, a student of the Faculty of Japanese Studies of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) won the third prize at the Japanese Speech Contest 2021.

The final round of the contest was held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCMC, gathering 12 excellent candidates representing several universities in the southern region of Vietnam.

The contest attracts a lot of attention from high school and university students in Ho Chi Minh City
The contest was organized by Komaru Transport Corporation in collaboration with Hiroshima University Vietnam Center. The final round of the contest was accompanied by Mr. Watanabe Nobuhiro - Consul General of the Japanese Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and Mr. Komaru Shigehiro - Chairman of Komaru Transportation Corporation.

Attending the final round, each of the 12 contestants took their turn to present a seven-minute-long monologue and then answered 02 questions from the judges. With a convincing oral presentation and answers, Huynh Thanh Phat brilliantly overcame many strong competitors to win the third prize in the contest.
