On December 3, students of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a welcoming session on the occasion of the delegation of the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program visiting the main campus of HUTECH (475A Dien Bien Phu).
Conceived in 1974, SSEAYP is an annual cultural exchange program with the aim of promoting friendship and mutual understanding among the youths of the ten ASEAN countries and Japan. By taking part in various exchange activities, the young participants have opportunities to enrich their knowledge of the cultural identity of different countries and strengthen their spirit for international cooperation.

The exchange session occurred with the presence of Ms. Ohashi Yayoi the Representative of the Executive Office of SSEAYP; Mr. Le Xuan Dung - Member of Executive Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center; Dr. Bui Van The Vinh - Vice President of HUTECH. The forum was held with the participation of 30 SSAYP members and several country leaders making up the delegation. More than 70 HUTECH students were also present at the program.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Bui Van The Vinh emphasized HUTECH’s appreciation of international cooperation and exchange programs, as well as the institution’s willingness to create the most favorable conditions to ensure comprehensive development of students in the age of international integration.
The program took place in much excitement and solidarity among SSEAYP delegates and HUTECH students by together performing several dances in traditional Vietnamese costumes.
