On the 21st of December, at Hutech University, the Faculty of English union executive committee and the English club organized an English Speaking Festival. This event shared the culture of native-speaking countries including: England, America, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Ireland.
Participating in the opening ceremony was MSC. Huynh Ngoc An, manager of the Student Affairs Department, Mr. Le Van Tuyen-Deputy manager of Faculty of English and Ms. Pham Quynh Trang-Deputy, manager of Department. Many other Vietnamese and Native teachers also attended, as well as all of students studying at the Faculty of English.
Ms. Pham Quynh Trang gave a welcome speech congratulating the ambition of the festival and awarded “My Future Career” certificates to students, recognizing their academic achievement and participation throughout the semester.
The 2018 Native English Speakers Festival showcased many booths that presented the typical products of each country. The booths were decorated with bright and beautiful colors, and students quickly gathered around them. There was also typical food from Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and America.
Students responded enthusiastically to the performances that were taking place on the main stage. It was an exciting event with different performers representing their classes in a head-to-head competition.
Each booth and performance was scored by the Organizing committee and prizes were awarded to outstanding individuals and groups from the festival.
The 2018 English-speaking Nationals Festival was a vibrant event. It was also an interesting english exchange space for students to exchange, cultivate and develop their communication skill. Hutech’s students gained interesting and useful experiences, as well as brilliant memories.
