“HUTECH Health Guru” - The Useful English version of Ring the Golden Bell

 In order to help students improve their English capacity and push back their horizon about Health field, this morning (26/6), the English Faculty of HUTECH University organized the academic contest “HUTECH Health Guru” .

This is the annual academic contest of the English Faculty, with the theme changing for each year. When the world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic in the first half of 2020, the theme of this year revolved around the Health issues - “Healthy Guru”, with the participation of 400 students from the English Faculty and other Faculties and Institutes at HUTECH. Accompanying with the participants were Ms. Phạm Quỳnh trang - Vice Dean of the Faculty and  lecturers of the faculty.

“Health Guru” was organized in three rounds. In Round 1 and 2, the participants took the paper-based multiple choice test, including the topic about nutritions and preventive medicine, and all were in English. Students passing these rounds continued participating in the final round, following the format of Ring the Golden Bell. The questions in this round revolved around the theme of health and public health. Within a short period of time, students had to listen, understand and answer the questions, which posed challenges for them.

With good skills and a little luck, Lê Huỳnh Mỹ Uyên (class 18DTAD6) excellently rang the bell, with the highest score. The Second and Third prize went to  Nguyễn Hoàng Hải Phúc (class 18DTAD6) and Phạm Kiều Gia Hân (class 18DTAC2), respectively. The Consolation prizes belonged to Pham Ha Vy (class 18DTAD6), Nguyen Le Hoai Vy (class 18DTAA3) and Le Gia Quoc Anh (class 18DTAD6). Hopefully, besides improving the students’ language abilities, the nutritional and medical knowledge learned from "HUTECH Health Guru" could also help the participants take good care of their health in conditions. current weather, epidemics.
