Lecturers of the English Faculty accumulate teaching experience, helping students learn English well

On the morning of January 10, the Faculty of English Language of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) held a workshop "Engaging learners in English language learning" to discuss and share good teaching methods to help students learn English effectively and enjoy learning English.
The seminar attracted a large number of teachers and lecturers
The seminar took place at Saigon Campus with the participation of Dr. Nguyen Thi Kieu Thu - Dean of Faculty of English Language, Dr. Le Van Tuyen - Vice Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Tran Quoc Thao - Vice Dean of the Faculty, Mr. Vo Quoc Dai - Vice Dean of the Faculty and other members.

At the seminar, teaching staff of the Faculty presented and discussed effective methods of teaching English and aroused interest in students. Specifically, Ms. Pham Thanh To Mai and Ms. Nguyen Hoang Tuyet Nghi had a presentation about the benefits of organizing games, class warm-up activities to create fun for students in the subject; Ms. Do Thi Hong Nhung shared attracting students by giving them more freedom and flexibility in class; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram Anh helped students who like English in Note-taking Skills; Mr. Ho Hai Tien shared methods of posing problems and suggestions to increase the meaning of the lesson as well as help students easily remember.

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Tram Anh shared the skill of taking notes in English which creates excitement for students
Also, Ms. Tran Kim Hong, Mr. Ngo Binh Anh Khoa and Ms.. Nguyen Ha Linh Phuong shared about the impact of Jigsaw cooperation in Reading Comprehension, the use and limitations of Trados software in translation, and how to improve vocabulary for first-year students of non-English majors.

Lecturers listen to the sharing from the speakers
The seminar helped the lecturers of the Faculty of English Language accumulate a lot of experience and effective teaching methods for students, helping them to acquire good knowledge and enjoy learning.
At the program, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung on behalf of Victoria University of Wellington shared a lot of useful information
| Within the framework of the program, Dr. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung - Working at the Faculty of English Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, also introduced Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand - where she used to study. The information about the policy of scholarships, accommodation, and study was specifically shared by her to the lecturers of the Faculty. |
