HUTECH students and internship and job opportunities from “Journey to the East”

On the morning of November 24, third and fourth-year students of the Faculty of Accounting - Finance - Banking, Business Administration and Information Technology of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had the opportunity to learn about internship and job opportunities at Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB) at the "Journey to the East" talk show.
The talkshow was accompanied by representatives of Orient Bank including Mr. Tran Tuan Dat - Deputy Director of Card Center (Trung tâm thẻ), Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa - Human Resources Project Development Manager. From HUTECH, leaders of the Faculty of Accounting - Finance - Banking including Dr. Tran Van Tung (Dean) and Mr. Chau Van Thuong (Vice Dean) accompanied the students in the program.

“Journey to the East” is an activity organized by the Faculty of Accounting - Finance - Banking in collaboration with OCB to create opportunities for students to develop specialized skills and gain practical experience.
A large number of HUTECH students participate in the recruitment program "Journey to the East"
In his opening speech, Dr. Tran Van Tung shared, “The practical training orientation of HUTECH aims to prepare students with both capable subject knowledge and skills upon graduation. The recruitment program of OCB Bank is an opportunity for students to make the best effort and show their professional capacity.”

At the talk show, Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa shared with students about the talent development programs in seeking and training future generations of managers at OCB along with career advancement and professional development opportunities, as well as benefits and compensation packages offered to top employees of the bank. Currently, there are many attractive open positions available at OCB, including banking advisor, teller, retail/ corporate customer relations assistant, card division staff, human resources, accountant, and asset manager, etc. This is an opportunity for HUTECH students to apply directly to OCB in one of the following three formats: Internship (all students), Returning to the Root and Future Leaders programs (students in the final semester of their 4th year or recent graduates of less than a year).

HUTECH students are assessed on both subject knowledge and skills by the recruiters from OCB
After the meeting with the representative of OCB, students participated in a 60-minute test of general and subject knowledge, English and IQ. Based on the results of this test, qualified candidates will be selected to participate in the face-to-face interview round.
