The solemn opening ceremony for the second intake of the 2016 graduate programs

On the morning of January 7, 2017, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony of the second intake of master’s degree and doctoral students of the 2016 graduate programs taking place at the University’s main campus.
The ceremony had the participation of members of the University’s leadership, including Dr. Kieu Tuan - Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam - Vice President, Dr. Luu Thanh Tam - Vice President, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Viet - Vice President, along with leaders of several departments, faculty and centers within the university. On this occasion, the ceremony welcomed 10 Ph.D. students majoring in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering and 233 Master’s degree students in the following 10 programs: Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Accounting, Mechatronics Engineering, Information Technology, Civil and Industrial Construction Engineering, Biotechnology, Tourism & Travel Services Management, and English Language.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam congratulates the new Ph.D. students and Master’s degree students. He also affirmed that graduate students will always receive the best-supporting conditions during their study and research to achieve the best results.
HUTECH also honored ten graduate students who achieved the highest scores on the entrance exam in the recent enrollment period, including Luu Thi Phuong Trinh (Class 16SSH21), Vu Van Vinh (Class 16SCT21), Tran Thi Nu (Class of 16SCT21). 16SKT21), Huynh Si Du (Class 16SCD21), Nguyen Thi Thoai My (Class 16SMD22), Do Thi Hoai Bao (Class 16SMT22), Bui Ha Viet (Class 16SXD21), Le Hoang Huy (Class 16SNA21), Dinh Thi Kim Chi (Class 16SDL21) and Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong (Class 16SQT21).

Within the framework of the Opening Ceremony, HUTECH also disseminated academic policies, training program framework, information on the decision to assign dissertation topics to Ph.D. students, guidelines on expected outcomes, and academic standards for new graduate students. The ceremony also marked a new chapter in the journey to accumulate new knowledge and reach a new height in the careers of these new graduate students.
