With a total value of up to 1 billion VND, 200 Overcoming Adversity scholarships from the Study Encouragement Fund of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) have been made available to students with financial hardship to motivate them to continue pursuing their study in this upcoming school year.
200 Overcoming Adversity scholarships with a value of 1 billion VND for HUTECH students
With the individual scholarship amount of 5,000,000 VND, the Overcoming Adversity scholarships will be given to students with financial hardship who have strived for academic excellence and active participation in various student activities. The specific requirements for scholarship consideration are as follows:
>>>Eligibility: Students of all levels, forms of training, and academic programs at HUTECH
>>>Conditions:
- Students experiencing hardship
- Maintain an accumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher at the end of the 2018-2019 academic year
- Achieve “Good” ranking or higher in terms of student training assessment results for the 2018-2019 academic year
- Actively participate in extracurricular activities organized by the University and the Faculty/Institute
>>>Scholarship amount: 5,000,000 VND per scholarship
>>>Number of scholarships: 200 scholarships
>>>Scholarship application requirements:
- Motivation letter including a 3x4 photo of the applicant (according to the attached template below)
- Academic transcript (request from the Office of Academic Services and Testing)
- Certification from the local authority confirming the family’s financial situation and the parents’ occupation or qualified household status at or below the poverty level (if any)
- Other certificates of merit (if any)
