On August 23, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) organized the scientific conference titled “The current state of university-industry collaboration” with the presence of the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of 20 universities in the southern region of Vietnam, and more than 30 businesses across the country.

At the conference, ten reports on issues related to the linkage between universities and enterprises were presented that highlighted the analysis of the current state from multiple perspectives (e.g., universities, employers, state agencies, etc.).

Specifically, the notable issues discussed at the seminar included the current policies and mechanisms serving the cooperation model among higher education institutions and enterprises, the reality of university-enterprise linkages in human resource training.
Being one of the universities pioneering the implementation of the university and enterprise cooperation model, HUTECH representatives had the opportunity at the conference to share the experiences and outcomes of delivering training programs in collaboration with enterprises in the fields of Information Technology and Tourism and Hospitality Management.

HUTECH has made an effort in promoting the university-enterprise cooperation model by building training programs, organizing enterprise internship semesters and conducting applied research and technology transfer, thereby consolidating knowledge and enhancing the practical experience for HUTECH’s students.
The conference is also part of a national research project led by HUTECH.
