HUTECH expands training cooperation with Cergy Pontoise University (UCP - France)

On the morning of May 4, 2015, the signing ceremony of training cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) and Cergy Pontoise University (UCP - France) took place at the Main Campus of the University.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Sc. Ho Dac Loc - Vice President of HUTECH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam - Vice President of HUTECH, and Dr. Nguyen Quyet Thang - Dean of  Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management. On the other side, Prof. Dr. Hung Te Diep - Vice President, Dr. Eric Olmedo - Lecturer, and Mr. Sébastien Le Tacon - Lecturer were among the representatives of UCP.

During the tour of HUTECH campus, the delegation from UCP was introduced to the different facilities, training systems, and learning environment while surveying the quality of lecturers and students of HUTECH. Following the tour, the representatives proceeded to sign a cooperation agreement that would open up many learning and development opportunities for students of the two universities. Specifically, the cooperation agreement would facilitate the joint training program at the undergraduate level for the following majors, including Restaurant Management, Hotel Management, and Catering Services Management taught directly by members of UCP faculty. In addition, both sides will regularly hold cultural exchange activities, exchange of lecturers, award academic scholarships to students, and organize seminars and workshops to provide the opportunity for students and lecturers to update knowledge and share expertise.

The successful signing ceremony opens up a new training direction for students majoring in Tourism and Hospitality Management.

With the cooperation in academic training and teaching activities between HUTECH and UCP, students in the Tourism and Hospitality Management programs gain important opportunities for learning and career advancement. The cooperation also contributes to strengthen and affirm the high training quality of HUTECH. Furthermore, it maintains the reputation of HUTECH as a leading higher education institution and trusted partner for reputable academies and universities around the world.
