HUTECH works with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia)

On November 24, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) had a meeting with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP).

HUTECH and UTP have signed an MoU since 2019 with contents such as organizing exchange programs for lecturers and students, and sponsoring research projects agreed by the two universities. Due to the pandemic, exchange programs between the two sides had not been implemented yet. In this meeting, the leaders of the two universities worked together to implement the agreed cooperation programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Fong Woon and Dr. Amjad Shamim were the representatives of UTP visiting HUTECH this time. Welcoming the delegation on behalf of HUTECH were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Xuan Lam-Vice Chairman, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Hong Van-Director of the Institute of International Education, and Ms. Dinh Hai Yen-Director of Center for International Affairs.

At the meeting, HUTECH’s leaders expressed their joy with the visit of UTP’s leaders. In order for the two universities to better understand each other's training strategies, HUTECH and UTP introduced their history of formation, development process, visions, missions, training program, etc.

Along with that, leaders of the two universities discussed restarting the cooperation programs based on previously signed agreements. Accordingly, in the coming time, HUTECH and UTP will coordinate to organize short-term and long-term student exchange programs.
