On November 10, 2016, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) cooperated with several international partners, including LAR Process Analyzers AG (LAR AG), Institute of Environmental Engineering and Management, and University of Witten/Herdecke (IEEM) to successfully organize the TAKIZ Project Kick-off Conference held at Victory Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Following the success of the AKIZ project sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research of Germany and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam as well as German industrial partners, TAKIZ was implemented to promote economic and technical management capabilities in wastewater monitoring using mobile management devices.
The conference covers many important issues
The conference’s main contents included five key issues: (1) Overview of MobiLab 3; (2) Applications and functions of MobiLab 3 at HUTECH; (3) Monitoring results in the expansion phase; (4) Technology transfer and human resources training. On this occasion kickstarting TAKIZ, participants were also introduced to detailed information about the project.
Discussion and Q&A session with the participating experts
The workshop ended successfully with a discussion and Q&A session with the participating experts. There is a high expectation for the smooth deployment of mobile wastewater monitoring devices at industrial parks in Vietnam in the near future as it is expected to yield practical and meaningful results.
