HUTECH Institute of Engineering students learn valuable career lessons from meeting with business leaders

On January 16, HUTECH Institute of Engineering together with the Center for Corporate Relations organized the event titled, "Skills to win over employers and preparation for senior internships and graduation projects".
The program was accompanied by Mr. Do Phuoc Tong - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Mechanical - Electrical Business Association; Dr. Vu Van Hoang - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Dai Viet Construction Investment and Design Consulting Joint Stock Company. There were also leaders of several reputable engineering firms participating in the program. Representatives from HUTECH included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Director of HUTECH Institute of Engineering, Mr. Ho Duc Sinh - Director of the Center for Corporate Relations, as well as other leaders and faculty members of the Institute.

At the program, Mr. Do Phuoc Tong shared his realistic and objective view on the current and future development trends in the engineering field. Issues surrounding the labor demand of the automotive technology industry were raised by Mr. Le Thanh Phuoc. Dr. Vu Van Hoang recounted his career journey from the time he was a HUTECH student until succeeding in his current business. Dr. Hoang also encourage HUTECH students to confidently pursue their startup ideas while gaining practical experiences and perfecting their knowledge.

Within the framework of the program, students also had the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with the guest speakers while raising several interesting questions. Also, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung – Vice Director of HUTECH Institute of Engineering presented information on internships and graduation projects required for fourth-year students. He also anticipated the valuable knowledge shared by these experts would help future HUTECH engineers be more confident and strive to become integral members of the skilled workforce in meeting the requirements of business and society.
