Students of HUTECH Institute of Engineering learn about business startup from CEOs

On the morning of March 31, the Institute of Engineering of Ho Chi Minh University of Technology (HUTECH) in collaboration with Saigon Hi-Tech Park Incubation Center organized the “i-Unitour” program with the theme “Innovation Startup - From Ideas to Reality”.

“i-Unitour” is a series of programs launched by Saigon Hi-Tech Park Incubation Center in partnership with universities in Ho Chi Minh City to facilitate lecturers and students in starting up a business. Besides, “i-Unitour”  supports the potential of turning practical ideas into promising start-up projects and moving towards product commercialization.
 

Accompanying HUTECH Institute of Engineering students at the “i-Unitour” were two guest speakers, namely Mr. Le Trung Hieu - Technical Director of Ewater Engineering Co., Ltd. and Mr. Le Yen Thanh, CEO of Phenikaa MAAS Technology JSC. From HUTECH, there were leaders of HUTECH Institute of Engineering including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung and Dr. Nguyen Hoai Nhan - Vice Director along with several departmental heads and lecturers of the Institute.
 

Speaking at the event, Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Ly - Deputy Director of Saigon Hi-Tech Park Incubation Center provided a summary of the vision, mission of the Incubator and introduced several practical activities to support start-up projects. Then, not only did Mr. Le Trung Hieu and Mr. Le Yen Thanh share their journey of ideation and realization of water treatment technology and BusMap mobile application, but they also told stories about their difficulties during the start-up process to provide practical lessons for students.
