Recycling various materials and using them in the creation of interior products is the main inspiration for the "Green Design" contest organized by the Faculty of Architecture and Arts of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH).
The final round took place on August 28 featuring creative and unique designs created by HUTECH’s students.

Attending the event were HUTECH Board of Directors, leaders of the Faculty of Architecture and Arts, representatives of the Center for Corporate Relations.

The event also welcomed representatives of the two sponsors of the contest - An Cuong Wood Joint Stock Company and Thiet Thach Company and others (e.g., Van Tay Décor Co., Dura Paint Co., etc.).
The theme "Green working corners" provides an opportunity for students to freely express their creative instincts
With the theme "Green working corners", the contest enables students to come up with creative ideas as well as gives them opportunities to express their unique personalities during the process of recycling waste materials to create unique and practical interior products.
Experts and representatives of different enterprises listen to presentations of HUTECH students
The competition includes 17 entries expressing the creativity and novelty of design from HUTECH students. Some of the notable products, such as the recycled handbag, eco-lighting system, mobile hand washing basin, paper lamp, multi-functional foldable shelf, mosaic furniture, etc., have made a strong impression on the judges and industry professionals.

With the final work - Multi-function Foldable Shelf being highly appreciated by the judges based on different criteria including creativity, aestheticism and applicability, Nguyen Thi Thao Quyen and Huynh Tan Long excellently won the first prize at "Green Design 2020".
