12 universities participate in the Conference on the impact of the new generation of free trade agreements

HUTECH university and faculty leaders attend the conference
 

Co-organized by HUTECH Faculty of Law and VCCI, the conference has selected 31 discussions and reports from scholars, researchers, lecturers, and post-graduate students covering a wide range of topics related to potential obstacles and solutions in finalizing the existing legal framework in Vietnam, plans to attract foreign investments (e.g., FDI, FPI), impacts of FTA on the import-export activities and the supply sector, improve firm’s competitive advantage, etc.

Among these, six discussions were selected to be presented at the conference, including “Positioning Vietnamese enterprises on the FTA map” by Mr. Nguyen Huu Nam - VCCI, “Protecting the interests of foreign investors through the commitments of Vietnam under EVIPA” by Dr. Luong Khai An, Esq. - Luong Khai An Law Office, “Dispute settlement mechanism between the State and investors within the framework of the EVFTA Agreement” by Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai Ha - HUTECH, “Impact of FTA on tax law” by Dr. Phan Phuong Nam - University of Law, “Impact of EVFTA Agreement and the need to improve the law on logistics services in Vietnam” by Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Linh - PhD student at Da Lat University, “Discussion on the role of trade union and worker representative organizations upon Vietnam joining the new generation of trade agreements” by Dr. Le Ngoc Thanh - HUTECH).
