Effective language learning thanks to integrated university model

The practical outlook and the reason that drives Gen Z  make a high demand when choosing a university for the linguistic group. These young people appreciate an interactive educational environment, creative and lively curriculum, and are inclined to practice.  

“Having a love for the culture of the country of the rising sun, I intend to study Japanese. A characteristic of learning Japanese is that it takes a lot of practice to improve. I want to study with local teachers, participate in Vietnamese-Japanese cultural exchange activities regularly to increase opportunities to practice listening and speaking skills”, said Thuc Nghi (12th grade, HCMC) HCM).

Gen Z  emphasizes an interactive educational environment, creative and lively curriculum.

Like Thuc Nghi, Dinh Tuan (Grade 12, Can Tho) is choosing a school to study the Korean language. Dinh Tuan said that he would be very excited if he could become the captain of a Kpop club. “The college experience would be pretty dull without cultural groups”, said Tuan. “I want everyone to recognize the positive side of the Kpop fan community. Through activities promoting Korean music, members of the club will better understand Korean culture, improve their vocabulary through document research or translate lyrics. Maybe one day it is not too far away, thanks to my experience in club management that I can join a major entertainment or media company in Korea”, Dinh Tuan enthusiastically talked about his dream.

Besides, in an era where only a few clicks can open a treasure of knowledge, the traditional method of learning with blackboards, white chalk and books is difficult to attract young people with dreams of becoming global citizens. At school they need modern technology integrated curriculum, to be able to access foreign languages ​​in a visual and practical way.

The learning habits and future orientation characteristics of Gen Z have played a part in reshaping effective higher education methods. Accordingly, schools focus on reforming curriculum based on internationalization mechanism. Having received a one-year exchange scholarship at Myongji University, Nguyen Ngoc Tram Anh - a former student of Oriental Studies (majoring in Korean studies), shared: “Thanks to the knowledge and experience passed down from the teachers of HUTECH and her experiences in Korea, I am now working as an assistant for a Korean manager in a large cosmetics company. At the same time, I still spend more time teaching Korean at night, continuing to indulge in the language and culture of this country.”

One of the important highlights of the integrated university model is the student exchange and exchange programs with many training units around the world. Every year, HUTECH language students meet and connect with friends from all five continents through a variety of international exchanges.
 
Many students refer to the school as a miniature world. Here, they can "travel" to many countries to experience long-standing cultural values ​​such as origami art, flower arranging, Hahoe mask decoration, tea ceremony and so on.
