Lecturers and graduate students majoring in English at HUTECH improve their research capacity through international seminar

On the morning of October 23, 2021, all lecturers and graduate students majoring in English at HUTECH participated in the international seminar titled “Challenges and Opportunities in Postgraduate Language Research”, hosted by Institute of Languages, Mara University of Technology, Malaysia together with the following co-organizers: EGi University (Malaysia), Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University (Indonesia), THEPSATRI Rajabhat University (Thái Lan) and HCMC University of Technology (HUTECH).

The seminar, which took place via Google Meet, attracted more than 100 researchers, lecturers and graduates students majoring in languages from universities. Here were the representatives of HUTECH: Dr. Nguyen Thi Kieu Thu - Dean of the Faculty of English, Dr Le Van Tuyen – Vice Dean, Dr. Tran Quoc Thao – Vice Dean, Ms. Pham Quynh Trang – Vice Dean, together with all the lecturers of the Faculty and more than 20 graduates students majoring in English Language.

At the seminar, reporters from universities presented reports on research experiences, current popular research directions and future prospects. Many technology applications in research and language group training were also introduced by representatives of universities.
From the reports and discussion sessions at the seminar, all lecturers and graduates students majoring in English Language were able to have an overview of this language research trend in the region, and also had an understanding in Research gaps as well as technology applications used to make their research more effective.
