HUTECH student won First Prize at the 16th Euréka Student Research Award - 2014

On December 28, 2014, the Closing and Awarding ceremony of the 16th Euréka Student Research Award was held at the main auditorium of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Culture House.

The Euréka Student Research Award is an annual competition that provides students the opportunity to participate in an innovative learning experience while continuing to foster their interests in scientific research. Through the discovery and nurture of the most promising research ideas, the program promotes engagement and increases student research activities at colleges and universities in Ho Chi Minh City. It also aims to contribute towards the potential practical application of research results in different aspects of society.

Out of the 517 topics included in this year’s Semi-final round, 82 best projects from 19 universities were chosen by the Selection Committee for the Finals round. The 2014 Student Research Award announced a total number of 63 prizes, including 01 Grand Prize, 08 First Prizes, 12 Second prizes, 14 Third Prizes, and 28 Consolation Prizes.

HUTECH continues to make a good impression by winning 3 final prizes in this year’s award, including one First Prize and one Second Prize from the Faculty of Biotechnology, Food, and Environment and one Third Prize from the Faculty of Information Technology. Besides the First Prize project by HUTECH student, Truong Ngoc Bao Tran, under the instruction of the faculty advisor, Dr. Thai Van Nam, the information of other winning research projects is as follows:
