ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

1. Eligibility and Academic Requirements

Applicants must hold a high school diploma or equivalent for undergraduate programs, or a relevant bachelor’s/master’s degree for postgraduate programs.
Foreign diplomas and certificates must be recognized or considered equivalent in accordance with regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

2. Language Proficiency

For English-taught programs: Applicants must provide a valid English proficiency certificate (e.g., IELTS 5.0–6.0 or equivalent) or other proof of English proficiency.
For Vietnamese-taught programs: Applicants must satisfy the current Circular No. 30/2018/TT-BGDĐT dated December 21, 2018 and Circular No. 17/2015/TT-BGDĐT dated September 1, 2015, issued by the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners. Applicants who are exempt from the Vietnamese language requirement must hold a Vietnamese language certificate at Level B2 under the six-level framework.

3. Admission Methods
International applicants may be considered based on:

Results of national or international high school examinations.
High school academic records combined with language proficiency certificates.
Special admission schemes, including direct admission or merit-based selection, according to institutional regulations.

4. Available Majors

HUTECH offers 61 undergraduate programs and 19 graduate programs, which can be found here.

5. Application and Enrollment Procedures

Applicants are required to submit one complete application dossier in either Vietnamese or English to HUTECH in accordance with the timeline stated in the official admission notice. The application dossier includes:

Application form for foreign students studying in Vietnam (template available upon request).
Certified copy and Vietnamese translated copy of academic diplomas and transcripts as required for each level of education, issued or recognized by competent authorities of the sending country.
Valid copy of language proficiency certificate in accordance with Circular No. 30/2018/TT-BGDĐT dated December 24, 2018 of the Ministry of Education and Training on the management of foreigners studying in Vietnam.
Copy of passport valid for the entire duration of study in Vietnam or at least one year from the expected date of arrival in Vietnam.
Other personal identification documents.

6. Visa and Residency:

An official offer of admission from a Vietnamese higher education institution is required.
Students must apply for a student visa (DH) at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate.
The DH visa is issued for study purposes and is usually valid for the duration of the study program.

7. Special Cases:
Any cases not covered by the above regulations shall be considered and decided by the Chairperson of the Admissions Committee.
