From languages to innovation for sustainable development: HUTECH students earn international recognition

 

These achievements highlight not only the students’ strong language skills but also their cultural awareness, critical thinking, and confidence in international academic settings.

Building on this success, students from the Faculty of Korean Studies demonstrated their creativity and cultural knowledge at the 2026 Cultural Heritage Costume Competition. At the final round, Team 팥공주, consisting of Korean Studies students, won Third Prize for their impressive recreation of the Stone Seated Buddha in Angi-dong, Andong, one of South Korea’s National Treasures.

At the same competition, Team Sunset Town received a Consolation Prize for their portrayal of the Stone Standing Maitreya Bodhisattva of Gamsansa Temple in Gyeongju. Through carefully designed costumes, detailed character portrayals, and thoughtful presentations, the teams successfully conveyed the historical and cultural significance of Korean heritage to both judges and audiences.

These accomplishments reflect the ability of HUTECH students not only to master language studies but also to explore, interpret, and promote international cultural values through innovative and contemporary perspectives.

In the area of international academic exchange and sustainable development, HUTECH students also achieved remarkable success at The 2nd ICE – International Cultural Exchange 2026, held under the theme “Sustainable Tourism 2026: Change in Action!”. The program brought together representatives from 17 universities and educational institutions across Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand, and the Philippines, creating a platform for students to share ideas and develop solutions for a more sustainable future.

Demonstrating creativity, innovation, and the ability to connect cultural values with sustainable tourism initiatives, the HUTECH team earned First Prize in the Outstanding Creativity Award category and Second Prize in the Best Vote Award category. These achievements underscore the students’ ability to thrive in international environments and contribute meaningful ideas to global challenges.

By consistently achieving success across a diverse range of international platforms, from language and cultural competitions to sustainability-focused initiatives, HUTECH students continue to affirm their position as dynamic, confident, and globally minded young leaders. These accomplishments not only bring pride to the students themselves but also reflect the effectiveness of HUTECH’s educational environment, which emphasizes practical learning, innovation, and international integration.

Moving forward, HUTECH will continue expanding opportunities for international exchange, academic collaboration, and global engagement, empowering students to maximize their potential, excel on the world stage, and contribute to promoting the image of talented and innovative Vietnamese youth worldwide.
