In 2026, HUTECH continued to expand its multidisciplinary academic ecosystem through a series of significant developments in health sciences, engineering, life sciences, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. The establishment of the HUTECH School of Medicine and Health Sciences, the HUTECH School of Engineering, and the Faculty of Aesthetics and Life Sciences, together with the inauguration of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation (AIDT), has created stronger connections across disciplines and opened new opportunities for education, research, innovation, and industry engagement.
Rather than simply expanding the University's organizational structure, these developments reflect HUTECH's ongoing efforts to bring related academic strengths closer together, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthen connections between education, research, technology, and professional practice.

On June 2, HUTECH officially announced the establishment of the HUTECH School of Medicine and Health Sciences, marking an important milestone in the University's multidisciplinary development. Building on more than a decade of experience in Pharmacy, Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science education, the School provides a foundation for HUTECH to further develop health sciences education with educational quality, professional responsibility, medical ethics, and social responsibility at its core.

The School also reflects the growing convergence between healthcare and technology. Its educational approach combines foundational medical knowledge, clinical practice, ethics, communication, and professional responsibility while progressively incorporating digital learning resources, clinical simulation, artificial intelligence applications in healthcare, educational data systems, and learning management platforms. Through this approach, HUTECH aims to prepare healthcare professionals who can adapt to increasingly technology-enabled healthcare environments while maintaining the human-centered values of the medical profession.
This ecosystem was further strengthened with the establishment of the Faculty of Aesthetics and Life Sciences, renamed from the Institute of Applied Sciences and becoming an academic unit under the School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The Faculty continues to offer Aesthetic Technology, Biotechnology, and Food Technology, while its new organizational structure creates closer connections among health, quality of life, and environmental fields.

The new School brings together four major academic areas through the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, Faculty of Automotive Technology, and Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Under a shared development direction, the faculties can maintain their individual academic strengths while expanding collaboration, resource sharing, interdisciplinary education, scientific research, innovation, technology transfer, and engagement with industry.

Among its initial projects is Smart LMS, which is being piloted in selected classes to enhance students' learning experiences while supporting lecturers in developing teaching materials, designing lessons, creating instructional videos, and managing classes more effectively. Through partnerships in research, education, technology transfer, and applied product development, the Institute also seeks to bring technological innovations closer to the practical needs of businesses and the wider community.
