HUTECH IT OPEN DAY 2026 and HUTECH JOB FAIR 2026: Connecting students with nearly 10,000 career opportunities

In April and May 2026, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH) further reinforced its role as a bridge between education and industry through two large-scale career events: HUTECH IT OPEN DAY 2026 and HUTECH JOB FAIR 2026. Together, the events attracted nearly 250 companies and created close to 10,000 internship and employment opportunities for students, demonstrating the University's ongoing commitment to equipping graduates with the skills, experiences, and professional networks needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive labor market.

A key highlight was HUTECH IT OPEN DAY 2026, which celebrated its 10th anniversary as one of Vietnam’s leading career fairs dedicated to Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence students. The event brought together more than 70 companies and offered over 2,500 job opportunities in fields such as software development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and digital technology. Students actively participated in recruitment activities, submitted CVs, attended interviews, and engaged directly with employers to better understand industry requirements and professional expectations. Building on this momentum, HUTECH JOB FAIR 2026 expanded career opportunities to students across a wide range of disciplines. Featuring 179 companies across 191 recruitment booths and nearly 7,000 job openings, the event welcomed students from Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Engineering and Technology, Business and Management, Communication, Design and Arts, Law, Languages and Social Sciences, and Health Sciences. From internships to full-time employment opportunities, students gained valuable exposure to real recruitment processes while exploring diverse career options aligned with their academic backgrounds and future aspirations. More than simply providing access to job vacancies, the two events created dynamic learning environments where students could test their professional readiness in authentic recruitment settings. Through direct interactions with employers, participants received immediate feedback on their qualifications, communication abilities, and career potential. Many students successfully impressed recruiters and secured employment opportunities during the events themselves, reflecting both their preparation and the practical relevance of HUTECH’s educational approach.
The strong participation of employers also highlighted the growing demand for highly skilled graduates across multiple sectors. In particular, the technology industry continues to seek talent in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics. At the same time, organizations in finance, banking, logistics, marketing, tourism, aviation, healthcare, and engineering are increasingly looking for graduates who possess not only technical expertise but also adaptability, communication skills, and a strong professional mindset.
Feedback from participating businesses further underscored the quality of HUTECH students. Employers noted that many candidates demonstrated solid academic foundations, proactive attitudes, and strong potential for long-term development. Such recognition reflects the University's efforts to align academic programs with industry needs while fostering practical competencies that enhance graduate employability.
Beyond recruitment activities, both events served as important platforms for strengthening long-term collaboration between the University and industry partners. During HUTECH IT OPEN DAY 2026, the University signed cooperation agreements with 15 leading organizations spanning technology, telecommunications, finance, and digital services. Meanwhile, HUTECH JOB FAIR 2026 saw the signing of an additional eight partnership agreements with companies operating in aviation, banking, technology, energy, real estate, and human resources.
These partnerships represent more than symbolic commitments. They establish a foundation for collaborative initiatives in curriculum development, internship placement, industry-based learning, guest lectures, research cooperation, and graduate recruitment. By maintaining close relationships with employers, HUTECH ensures that its academic programs remain responsive to changing workforce demands while creating valuable opportunities for students to engage with industry throughout their educational journey.

University leaders signing cooperation agreements with corporate partners
The University's comprehensive approach to career readiness extends beyond career fairs themselves. Prior to HUTECH JOB FAIR 2026, students participated in a series of training sessions titled “Skills for Winning Over Recruiters,” designed to enhance CV writing, interview techniques, professional communication, and workplace adaptability. These practical workshops helped students build confidence and better prepare for the realities of the recruitment process.
In addition, both events incorporated scholarship activities aimed at supporting and encouraging students in their academic pursuits. A total of 47 scholarships were awarded with the support of corporate partners, recognizing academic achievement while providing meaningful assistance to students facing financial challenges. These initiatives reflect a shared commitment between HUTECH and industry partners to nurture future talent and create opportunities for student success.
